This was exactly what our Client faced: they were having a hard time keeping together all the information regarding their app licenses, such as expiration dates, invoices' data, etc. Difficulties increased as the number of sold licenses grew.
Our License Manager for software companies
We pride ourselves on using the most modern technologies and this time was no different. Through the Electron framework our team developed License Manager, an answer to our Client's need.
License Manager is a cutting-edge solution, that allows software companies to monitor their app licenses' status. Our Web-app informs vendors about active licenses, blocking the ones that have expired. It also provides information regarding users' numbers and licenses' invoices, making it easier to issue an invoice or manage accounting data.
Every time a customer purchases an app, a new license is released and associated with a specific validity interval. Therefore, when such an interval ends, the connected app stops running. License Manager also guarantees safety: as a matter of fact, every license is protected by an encryption key.
The solution
License Manager was successfully integrated with Microsoft 365 Business Central, our Client's platform.
As a result, licenses are now safer and the risk of hacking decreased; time spent monitoring validity periods was sensibly reduced as the Client receives an alert when one license is about to expire. Information for issuing invoices is always at hand, helping to keep accounting records under control.
