AL Tracking

AL Tracking extends the traceability of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by adding Package (carton), Pallet (SSCC) and External Lot (supplier lot/carton) dimensions to the standard Lot/Serial, across the whole flow - documents, journals, warehouse and production - with a central engine used across the AppLibra platform.

Key capabilities

• Extra tracking dimensions - Package No., Pallet No. (SSCC) and External Lot No. on sales/purchase/transfer lines, item journals, warehouse documents and journals, production order lines/components, reservation, bin content and item ledger entries.
• Assignment engine - assign Lot/Serial/Package/Pallet/External Lot (plus expiry and maximum quantity) on every document and journal type, with capture/assist filtering and retrieval from posted documents.
• SSCC and external-lot master data - Pallet No. and External Lot No. Information, with automatic creation from journals.
• Calculate inventory with the new dimensions, plus custom item and warehouse item tracking lines.
• Granular activation per area - enable tracking exactly where you need it via the Tracking Setup.

How it works

In the Tracking Setup you enable the areas where you want to track and set the item tracking codes. On documents and journals you assign Lot/Serial/Package/Pallet/External Lot - manually or through the engine functions, which are also used by GS1, catch weight and logistics. On posting, the dimensions flow into the item ledger and warehouse entries for full traceability and navigation.

Requirements

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online (SaaS), version 28.0 or higher.
• Languages - English (en-US) and Italian (it-IT).
• Dependencies (installed automatically) - AL Message Passing, AL License and Trial Management and AL Role Center, from AppLibra.
• Role - the traceability engine used by AL Catch Weight, AL GS1, AL Logistic, AL Quality, AL Recipe, AL Excise, AL CONAI and AL Fatturazione Elettronica.
